I’m A Mitsubishi Driving Soccer Dad – And Proud Of It

Being a single dad to a couple of 6 year old twin boys isn’t the slightest bit a walk in a park. Especially so now that its little league soccer season once more. This time around yours truly will be the main honcho for getting the jerseys produced.

Being one of only 3 male parents among 13 women in our team’s committee, it was a little bit of an effort to get the majority to agree not to change the team’s jersey color from red to a color I’ve only seen on abstract paintings. But try as we might, we failed to change the team moniker to The Red Wizards from The Red Flamingos.

After sourcing for team jerseys, and believe it or not – sponsors, it came to my attention that our team did not even have its very own logo. I broached this concern of mine with the other 2 dads and we concluded that it might be a a superb idea if we were to have our own soccer team emblem. So we took it upon ourselves to draw up a logo sample each and present them to the committee.

All three of us congregated the next weekend with our works of art and broke out in hysterical laughter, before we concluded that maybe designing wasn’t our thing. Seemingly my Flamingo took on the look of a Woodpecker on banned anabolic matter. The touted da Vinci like designs from the other two dads weren’t a whole lot better better. One might pass for a work by Picasso and the other seemed like bored doodlings from a unfortunate victim of a 3 hour long company meeting. But we went forward and presented the design drafts to the committee all the same.

Though the committee barred the three of us from designing anything that has to do with the club unless there is a blue moon, they did agree to the idea that our team should indeed have its own logo. So I enthusiastically went back home and conducted a search for logo design croatia, did some checking and picked a few the better spoken of design agencies and suggested them to the committee.

Now our soccer team has finally got its own team logo. We had badges made for the uniforms and logo stickers made for the fun of it – thanks to a bit of sponsorship we got from the ice cream shop we always take the kids to after a game. The logo design itself ended up looking quite cool with a a red Flamingo standing on one leg while the other is resting on a soccer ball looking like the real deal.

I heard a little rumor that next year yours truly will be in charge of refreshments. I’m thinking about taking it a step beyond and am in the process of getting the paperwork done to present to Red Bull about a sponsorship contract.
